This Lima backpackers hostel is set in what is pretty much a family home, so it’s a pretty warm and welcoming place to stay. Here you’ll find one of the best hostels in Peru with private rooms. It’s been V nicely done, seriously. Super nice tiles, traditional homely decor… we like it.

The staff are super nice and will help you with anything you might need. The rooms MAY be simple (and clean), but this is a pretty authentic stay. Probably because it’s a family business. They don’t speak very much English so you might also wanna brush up on your Spanish!

Barrancos Backpackers is one of our favourites in Peru but they’re not taking guests right now. We’re not sure if they’re closed for good but we hope they’ll come back soon.
