    Acharavi is another town located in Northern Corfu. West of Kassiopi, Acharavi is a busy working town bursting with modern conveniences and beautiful views.

    Steeped in history and bursting with culture and myth, Corfu is an island that features ancient ruins nestled alongside golden sand beaches and lush landscapes.

    The second largest of the Greek Ionian Islands, Corfu forms the northwesternmost part of Greece. The municipality covers an area of 610 square kilometres and is home to more than 102,000 people.

    Corfu has a rich and tumultuous history. It was ruled by the Venetians, the British and the French before unifying with modern Greece in the mid-19th-century.

    On the island’s west coast is Adios Gordios. This buzzing little village is surrounded by olive groves and lemon trees and provides a great selection of cost-conscious accommodations.

    At the south end of the island is Kavos. The capital of Corfu’s party scene, this town is home to bars, clubs, karaoke and lots of after-dark fun.

In Kavos, you can enjoy a day by the sandy beach and a night of singing, dancing, drinking and partying, which is why it’s my pick for the best area in Corfu for nightlife fiascos.

    But, there’s more to visiting Kavos than drinks and dancing. This raucous town is also a great place to try out a wide variety of water sports. Here you can hire boat trips to explore the shoreline or rent snorkels and see what lies beneath the waves.

    Toni’s Guesthouse is one of our favourites in Corfu but they’re not taking guests right now. We’re not sure if they’re closed for good but we hope they’ll come back soon.

    Acharavi’s beaches provide the perfect location for an idyllic day of lounging in the sun and swimming in the crystal clear turquoise waters.

    Looking for something a little more active? Lace-up your shoes and head into the hills! The Acharavi countryside is home to a network of well-marked and maintained trails. You’ll be rewarded with stunning views and incredible sights as you and your little ones explore the landscapes of northern Greece.
